For an empire state of mind, try these top 420-friendly activities in New York City
The term “cannabis tourism” wasn’t even coined until a couple of years ago, but people have been taking cannabis-centric vacations for years (though perhaps less publically). Now that cannabis is legal in New York, many 420-friendly activities can be found in the Big Apple.
Looking to find something green in the concrete jungle? Well, you’re in luck. We did some research to find some of the most fun cannabis-themed activities in New York City.
Paint Puff ‘N’ Peace
If you’re a “budding” artist (sorry, we had to), you’ve got to check out Paint Puff ‘N’ Peace. Bring your friends or family along for a night of guided painting while you enjoy cannabis together. This spot has received endorsements from Nick Cannon and Fat Joe.
No one needs to have any artistic experience to partake. Just have a friendly, positive vibe, and let your mind and hands do the rest. Who knows? You might just surprise yourself.
Location: Paint Puff ‘N’ Peace has two locations. One is located in East Harlem at 2037 Third Ave. and the other at 128 Second Ave., just south of St. Mark’s Place.
Cannabis-infused dining
We know you’ll want some cannabis-infused food spots on your radar. NYC has an abundance of green cuisine options to satisfy your munchies. Two local favorites are listed below.

Stoned Gourmet Cannabis Pizza
Since the dawn of time (well, maybe not that long ago) cannabis and pizza have gone together like PB and J. Now, you can have them both at once.
Stoned Gourmet Cannabis Pizza is the passion project of Chef Chris Barrett, or, “The Pizza Pusha.” Born and raised in Brooklyn, Chris was inspired by his trip to California where he would merge his two favorite passions—pizza and the almighty plant.
You will get a kick out of the delectable pizza names Chef Chris has concocted like “Medical Margarita” and “Pepperoni Haze.” They are just as delicious as they sound.
If you’re couch-locked at home watching Netflix, you can opt to have your pizza delivered. But if you’d rather venture out (safely), you can pick it up at the shop as well.
Location: Stoned Gourmet Cannabis Pizza is located on the lower east side. You can choose between the supper club or the lounge.
Price: Reservations are encouraged and are $140 per person.
Lamb’s Bread Café
Lamb’s Bread Kitchen and Café is your one-stop shop for a plethora of THC-infused food and drink items. Be sure to try the different smoothies, protein shakes, baked goods, and paninis here.
You can order online or visit the kitchen itself.
Location: 2128 2nd Ave
Price: If you’re dining in the kitchen, you are required to pay $100 per person upon reservation.
NYC Bud and Breakfast
Wouldn’t it be awesome if hotels offered cannabis service? Think about it. You call up the hotel desk at 4:20 PM to order their catered menu of cannabis products.
While we couldn’t find any 420-friendly hotels in NYC just yet, there is an Airbnb-style platform showcasing 420-friendly accommodations available for rent in New York and worldwide. It’s called Bud and Breakfast. Blaze up guiltlessly and enjoy the sights and sounds of NYC from the comfort of your cannabis-friendly abode (abud?)
Price: Just like with Airbnb, rental prices will vary. Find something that fits your budget and go from there. Be sure to compare and contrast options so that you can get the best deal.
CBD Spa at Ohm Spa & Lounge
Many people feel that CBD has a calming effect on the mind and body. If you need to unwind from the stressors of the city, try a CBD spa.
CBD spas generally incorporate CBD oils and lotions into a standard Swedish massage. Expect to feel the pain and anxiety wash away with cannabidiol oil. You may feel refreshed and rejuvenated in a whole new way.
There are dozens of CBD spas in New York. One place with excellent reviews is the Ohm Spa & Lounge in Flatiron.
Location: 205 E 16th St (off 3rd Ave), Suite M2A (2nd Floor)
Price: A 60-minute CBD massage will cost you $199 here, and a 90-minute one will be $259. Other services like facials and special packages will vary.
As you can see, cannabis tourism is alive and well in New York City. With marijuana being more socially accepted now than ever and New York state recently legalizing adult-use cannabis, there’s all the more reason to incorporate cannabis into your next vacation (or staycation) in the Big Apple.
