Smack dab between Boston and Salem, Mass., sits Saugus, a town known for its dense suburban sprawl, and the pan-Asian restaurant Kowloon. Soon, the restaurant will be known for more than just great food and drinks. The latest Kowloon endeavor is a seasonal THC drink collaboration with LEVIA.

The LEVIA Kowloon Mai Tai THC-infused seltzer takes all the flavor from the restaurant’s famed beverage sans booze. The five-milligram drink hits AYR Wellness weed shops on June 1st.

“As demand for cannabis-infused beverages rises, we are pleased to meet customers’ evolving interests by putting a twist on our timeless cocktail,” Kowloon co-owner Bob Wong said in a press release. “The LEVIA Kowloon Mai Tai introduces us to potentially new audiences by elevating the refreshing LEVIA seltzer with the fruit flavors of our signature cocktail for an all-new experience.”

Those in Massachusetts can celebrate the return of long, warm summer days by cracking open an ice-cold Mai Tai with no alcohol, sugar, or calories. The formulation was built using all-natural terpenes that work with the sativa extract to craft a flavor comparable to the traditional Kowloon drink recipe.

The seltzer launches on June 1st. Kowloon food trucks are pulling up to the dispensary to celebrate. Come to the Ayr Wellness in Waterton, Mass. from 11:30 to 2:00 pm EST to catch Kowloon serving their fare outside, with non-infused versions of the drinks being passed around, too.

A few weeks later, on Friday, June 14th, LEVIA will serve non-infused samples among live music at Kowloon’s for a 21+ event. AYR and LEVIA are excited to collaborate with such a prolific partner outside of the weed space.

“Kowloon is an institution in Greater Boston, a place where so many have celebrated and spent time with friends and family. I was able to visit Kowloon and experience the welcoming and warm atmosphere during a team outing last month. We are thrilled to bring a small part of that experience to our customers with our latest seasonal LEVIA flavor,” AYR CEO David Goubert said in a press release.

LEVIA has been in the beverage game for years, and this is not their first seasonal release. Summertime Peach Tea was a fan favorite, and the winter Pomegranate Punch was a knockout, but this marks a first for the brand. While LEVIA has earned a name for flavor, the beverage team is humbled by the opportunity to work with the third-generation family restaurant.

“The Kowloon Restaurant holds a special place in the hearts of many in the Saugus & North Shore community, Massachusetts and beyond. We are honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with the Wong family and this legendary establishment,” LEVIA co-founder Kristin Rogers concluded.
