Weed strain features bizarre smell and flavor

The last few years in weed have brought interesting scents and flavors, like meaty Cherry Burger, and The Soap strain. Not to be confused with Zoap, which is a completely different strain with its own parent plants, The Soap is a double-mint combo of Animal Mints and Kush Mints. The cross creates a sensational soap-like scent with an oft-coveted effect.

Seedy Junky created The Soap in a collaboration with Cookies. I reviewed The Soap strain grown by Washington state brand Constellation Cannabis. The family-owned farm often hand-picks curious genetics and is known for flowers drenched in trichomes. This phenotype delivered both. I reveled in the strikingly astringent profile, and it was not too bad to look at, either.

This indica-dominant strain sneakily undermines any hopes of staying focused, but first–that funky smell.

The Soap strain appearance, smell, and taste

Soap accurately describes this cannabis strain with its intriguing scent and taste. The flower does not look too bad, either. The Soap buds are berry purple with some light green. They are very dense and bulbous with somewhat rounded calyxes and covered in mostly fuzzy but some sparkling trichomes.

The soapy scent hit me in the face, ripe with camphor-drenched pineapples. This translated into the taste but reversed. When I vaped it, the pineapples hit first before the cutting camphor. Both the smell and flavor are unique, in a good way.

The compelling aesthetics are complemented by an intense effect that had me happy to forgo all of my chores.

Effects of The Soap strain

The Soap has indica effects through and through. I tried this phenotype in a few ways, including my favorite for figuring out effects: my Weeday bong. The sensation started in my temples, a pleasant pulsing, before it overtook my jaw and neck, eventually melting my shoulder tension. There was some action in the back of my head too.

With my ribs and back relaxed, I quickly lost focus. Before I knew it, time had passed. I was distracted and not too worried about it. Under the influence of The Soap, I described it as a “super chill beans mindset,” and I think that applies even with my sober mind. I felt chill to the bone, not worried about finishing my to-do list.

I am always seeking satisfying comfort with very little anxiety, and I am happy to report that The Soap delivers.
