THC product is flavor-packed for better or worse
Cannabis drinks seem to be the star of the hemp THC market these days. Brands have rapidly grown in many states, some with no access to regulated cannabis—providing an opportunity to try THC. This increasing access works both ways, with entrepreneurs finding a way into weed before legalization reform. Tempter’s is one such brand from Knoxville, Tenn. that offers three flavorful drinks and gummies. I tried all three and am left with some polarizing opinions.

These hemp beverages launched in January 2024 at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium concessions for the KC48 Karate Tournament. One year later, the brand was serving its seltzers at Art Basel, the exclusive annual art festival. This community outreach has built a following for these intensely flavored products.
The spritzes come in Blueberry, Strawberry, or Orange, each with 10 milligrams of THC and 10 mg of CBD. Each can is listed as two servings and contains two grams of added sugar per can. The ingredients list says cane sugar and steviol glycosides. Those who are sensitive to artificial sweeteners may want to tread lightly. The beverage also claims to be fast-acting, vegan, gluten-free, and keto-friendly.
I was impressed by Tempter’s branding. The sleek black can with bold typeface offers a new look to the sector that brings the same energy as a whiskey bottle. Inside, the flavors were vivid.
Tempter’s hemp soda review
Each Tempter’s flavor uses terpenes to influence an indica, sativa, or hybrid effect. The blueberry aims to be an indica, the orange is sativa, and the strawberry is a hybrid. Each is fiercely flavored, which could be attributed to its Southern roots. Sodas and teas are known to be sweet and strong in the South. Why should weed drinks be any different?
The strawberry drink was my favorite. It reminded me of the Welch’s Sparkling Strawberry Soda that my mom would only buy on our yearly vacation. I believe the nostalgia sold me. This doesn’t taste like organic, fresh strawberries—more like candy.
As for the orange, it strayed from a classic orange soda flavor with a spot of cream. Those who like sweet sodas and drinks will appreciate the essence of this Tempter’s soda. Lastly, let’s talk about the blueberry. This one was not for me. The artificial blueberry flavor is hit or miss. For me, this is a miss. The flavoring is too heavy-handed for my liking, which made me sad since it is the indica option.
I have criticisms of Tempter’s, but there is a rightful place for them in the hemp drinks world. These refreshments cater to those who desire forceful flavor, and while the blueberry is not for me, it could be perfect for someone else.

Tempting weed drinks offer thoughtful high
As for the effects, Tempter’s felt chill. It is hard to consume half a can of something sparkling unless you’re sharing–so I experienced all 20 mg (10 mg THC and 10 mg CBD). This is likely not an ideal dose for some people, especially when trying to socialize at a club or bar. I suppose there’s often someone to share the drinks within those situations, though.
Take it slow, and let the THC wash over you. You can always have more but cannot take back what’s already been consumed. My biggest recommendation is to be sure to drink water before, during, and after enjoying Tempter’s, and all hemp beverages.
Tempter’s hemp THC drinks offer a can that is flavored-filled in every sip. Find the perfect essence from this Spritz trio, or try them all in the sampler pack ($19.99). As far as drinking weed goes, these are a fit for the job.
