Midwest weed festival attracts A-list performers

The Miracle in Mundelein

RISE Dispensaries and RYTHM Premium Cannabis continue fusing the worlds of weed and music. The Green Thumb Industries brand has collabed on multiple strains with artists like Tinashe via the Artist Series, and now the whole operation is going live at The Miracle in Mundelein, Illinois, September 7-8.

The Miracle is a two-day event that immerses consumers in the music and cannabis worlds. Dayglo, Deep Cut, RYTHM Premium Cannabis, and Rise Dispensaries worked together on the event, which features some of the top roots rock, Cali reggae, and rap.

“The inaugural Miracle in Mundelein was brought to life by a simple thesis that many of us have known for a long time: good music plus good weed equals a good time,” Ben Kovler, founder, chairman, and CEO of Green Thumb Industries, said in a press release.

The first two-day Miracle event took place last year with much fanfare, and this year seeks to be even better. Kovler mentioned the gravity of booking acts like Steel Pulse, Wiz Khalifa, and Slightly Stoopid. The full ticket includes Rebelution, Raekwon & GZA with The Soul Rebels, Shwayze, DJs Ca$h Era, and Papa G. The CEO is also excited about joint-rolling contests and other weed-centric activations.

In 2023, the event made waves as the first Illinois weed festival with on-site consumption and sales. Festival goers can still bring bud into the event or purchase Rise products across the street as needed. But, this year, event planners seek to go deeper into the culture. Each billed artist is a figurehead of weed culture, and that was no accident.

“We are back with an unbelievable lineup of Grammy-nominated artists who honor and build upon the canna-friendly music scenes of Hip Hop, Roots, Rock, Reggae, and Jam worlds. These artists’ fanbases authentically celebrate cannabis culture and embody what The Miracle is all about,” Michael Berg, founder of event production company Deep Cut, added to the press release.

Tickets start under $80 for one-day general admission and $170 for two. Attendees will enjoy joint–rolling stations, weed drinks, dab bars, and other thoughtful experiences. Each of the details in this year’s event was crafted based on the immensely positive feedback from 2023 attendees–and everyone is excited to see what is in store. Tickets are now available at themiracleconcert.com.

“The anticipation around year two is electric, and we are thrilled to deliver on another Miracle in Mundelein,” Dayglo founder Peter Shapiro concluded.
