Snoop Dogg weed company now sells nationwide

From some perspectives, this has been the year of Snoop Dogg. He became an international treasure at the Olympic games this summer while opening two dispensaries on either side of the pond. Now, the rapper-turned-mogul is taking it nationwide, launching a new arm of S.W.E.D. (Smoke Weed Every Day). The e-commerce shop will soon ship Death Row Records flower nationwide, with more products to join.

“We’re entering a new era for cannabis, where people want convenience and quality in their shopping experience,” Snoop Dogg commented to GreenState. “SWED.com makes it easy for anyone to get their hands on the best, no matter where they are.”

Curated Snoop Dogg and Death Row products will grace the virtual SWED shelves alongside papers, wraps, rolling trays, smell-proof bags, and other smoking accessories. The site will also serve as a home base for the growing list of dispensaries of the same name.

Snoop built SWED dispensaries to provide more access to high-quality weed products, and this addition magnifies the impact. The brand currently has five strains of THCA flower marked as “coming soon,” including Animal Cookies, Gary Payton, Loud Loopz, Ice Cream Cake, and Sherb. There are a few vape options, like one where the battery appears to be a ballpoint pen.

These THCA products are available wherever hemp THC is allowed. Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Idaho, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Nevada, Oregon, Rhode Island, and South Dakota have restrictions against the sale or purchase of these products. Everywhere else in the U.S. is fair game.

The brand has yet to report where the hemp is sourced, but it is marked as “lab-certified for potency and cleanliness.” This addition to the many brands is brave as more lawmakers seek to bar the production and sale of these products with anti-hemp THC bills.

As the nascent industry consolidates, the Snoop Dogg weed empire only grows. Though efforts to put the kibosh on the growing sector are widespread, support from a name like Snoop is a potential vote of confidence for the tumultuous hemp industry.
