Snoop Dogg brings signature style to Europe in latest cannabis venture
Snoop Dogg is riding high in Paris at the Olympics, dancing good vibes at Simone Biles in the gymnastics stands and carrying the literal torch (which looked surprisingly like a fat joint) on its final leg. For the last few weeks, Snoop has been a fixture in American Olympics coverage, swimming with Michael Phelps and providing commentary with Kevin Hart.
Double-G is also surfing the wave of success from his Los Angeles dispensary opening by launching a sister store in Amsterdam on August 1st.
“Amsterdam has always embraced cannabis, and so have I,” said Snoop Dogg in a press release. “It’s only right that I bring S.W.E.D. global to this iconic city that understands the joy of great cannabis and a good time.”
The gangster rapper turned worldwide uncle brings that iconic Snoop style, with blue paisley ceilings and a Westside symbol neon sign, to the Venice of the North. Snoop Dogg will handpick exclusive strains, artisanal edibles, and luxury accessories on the menu. The mission is to gift Amsterdam a small drop of that California weed style.

S.W.E.D. is located among the hustle and bustle of Marnixstraat, close to nightlife and worthy attractions. The two-floor store and lounge offer a place to rest weary feet after a day of sightseeing or for visiting Californians to feel at home.
Find the retail space and browse products on the ground floor among comfortable seating areas for relaxed shopping. Head to the basement and light up in the cozy, art-adorned lounge outfitted for retail activations and social gatherings.
Snoop Dogg is a longtime entrepreneur and seasoned businessman who is no stranger to the cannabis industry. The globally recognized artist has launched flower lines, edibles collaborations, and tongue-in-cheek stoner specials with Jack in the Box. However, this is different.
S.W.E.D. is the rapper’s first foray into cannabis retail, and he is starting on a grand scale. From California to the Netherlands, who is to say where store number three might pop up.
