Cannabis device rises to the competition on huge clouds

Zeus Arc GT3 review

The Zeus Arc GT3 adds a new flare to the dry herb vape world. The handheld piece is similar in size to the Davinci IQ3 but with some specialty features and attachments. This portable vaporizer is made by Zeus Arsenal. The Canadian brand uses consumer feedback to create well-manufactured products with the help of its German engineering team. I was sent a model to put this piece to the test in a Zeus Arc GT3 vape review.

All about the Zeus Arc GT3

The GT3 uses ArcPods, aluminum chambers that are easily dropped into the vape. Herb can be loaded directly into the gold-coated chamber, too. The company used gold as it promised “optimal” heat distribution, which would lead to a more flavor-rich vapor. The USB charger fully fills the battery in an hour and a half. Once full, the battery will last continuously for 90 minutes or six to eight sessions.

The Xtruder

Zeus released a tool to accompany the pieces that makes the technology more accessible to those with low hand mobility: The Xtruder. This peppermill-looking contraption fills the ArcPods without the pinching and smushing that filling small pods with herbs sometimes requires.
There is an analog version that is ground back and forth and a digital version that works with the push of a button. Small pieces are fun until it is hard to grasp items. Thoughtful tools like the Xtruder are a win for me. However, I hold the vape to more stringent standards.

Vaping with the Zeus Arc GT3

Between the Xtruder and other tools in the sleek box, it took me a moment to find my sea legs with the Zeus Arc GT3. But when I did, loading and using the piece felt natural. I started my vape packing process with the Xtruder, placing my ArcPod in the bottom, closing the cap, and loading 0.3 grams of ground herb into the top.

Once all the weed was inside the Xtruder, I put the electric top on and pressed the button. It will twist the cannabis through until the ArcPod is full. Then, I had to pop it into the gold-coated chamber and press a button a few times, and we were ready.

The chamber lies under a silicone-lined top that easily pops off. Slide the ArcPod in, press the lid back on, and it is time to vape. The start button is on the top of the GT3, situated on the opposite side of the chamber. I used this to activate, set the temperature, and heat the unit.

Hold the start button down for two seconds to activate the vape. It will vibrate, and LEDs will illuminate on its side when it turns on. Click the button once to change between three temperatures (401°, 419°, 437°F) indicated by one, two, or three lit lines. Two quick clicks will start heating the chamber, and the light will be green when it is time to draw.

I held the vape upright and drew slow and low from the mouthpiece. The piece created a wicked cloud that was packed with flavor. After thirty seconds with no action, the GT3 goes into energy-saving mode and then turns off after ten minutes.

After I baked the oven twice, I let the chamber cool completely before using the tool expertly hidden in the bottom of the GT3 to pull it out. If it is still hot, it could burn your fingers, so be careful. The brand does not recommend cleaning and reusing the aluminum ArcPods as it is believed to alter the flavor. However, I will be doing so and will update this article with feedback as I have it.

Big clouds make this vape worthwhile

The Zeus Arc GT3 is a thoughtful device, capitalizing on the best of what is already out there while adding to the vaporizer universe. The Xtruder is an excellent addition to the conversation, bringing a new level of accessibility to the pod systems. As for the vape experience, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Temperature and heating control in an app would be nice for that price ($299 but on sale for $213), but I was still down for the ride.

The Zeus Arc GT3 is a win for its price, functionality, and successful innovations. While there is always room for improvement, this was an overall positive dry herb vape experience for me.
