New weed piece revives forgotten staple

weedgets x5 review

Weedgets is quietly revolutionizing classic cannabis tools. The brand crafts pipes outfitted with a carbon filter, which removes gross by-products and leaves all of the flavor. Its latest launch takes a new spin on the one-hitter, a classic piece requiring very little improvement.

There are many wonderful ways to consume cannabis. Until now, I have not considered one-hitters one of them. It felt like a weed tool of convenience, not choice. Now, the Weedgets X5 smoke-filtered one-hitter may have changed that.

I don’t personally use one-hitters because they typically burn weed white-hot and quickly build up resin. On the off chance that I end up using one, I rarely taste the weed flavor. Because of this, I was apprehensive about this Weedgets X5 review–but that was quickly quashed.

All about the X5 one-hitter

The Weedgets X5 unscrews into three pieces: a mouthpiece, a chamber, and the body. A filter slides inside of the body before the mouthpiece goes on. The gold, pre-packed chamber screws onto the other side to complete the setup. All this goes into the silicone container shaped like a tobacco vape between uses. The shape is surely a nod to the classic one-hitter that looks like a cigarette, maintaining an air of discretion during a public sesh.

The side of the case slides open to reveal four to five gold chambers. These can be pre-packed to sidestep cleaning out the piece while out in the world, avoiding dank fingers in the process. Once the loaded chamber is in the silicone case the body can be screwed on and used to easily pull it. I loaded the chamber without touching any weed, just slid it through the ground herb in my grinder, screwed the golden chamber on, and I was ready to go.

Weedgets x5 Review: worth a hit

I’m rarely interested in a one-hitter, but I already said that. The hits end up hot and tasteless, but not with the X5. I packed up a chamber from my grinder with ease and screwed it onto the body. Opting to light the end using a hemp wick was a good idea, especially with a fresh carbon filter.

I could taste the Purple Mango that I loaded up, and the hit did not even make my throat burn. This is new since I’ve never had a tasty hit from a one-hitter before. Another complaint about one-hitters is that resin always coats my lips after a few tokes from one piece. After hitting the X5 twice I opened up the body and checked out the filter. It was covered in sticky brown goo. I’m truly glad none of that made it to my mouth and lungs.

Much like the Weedgets Maze-X, the X5 is making me question all of the gunk that I must have been inhaling in the last decade. After my experience with this new addition to the cannabis world, I’m confident that anyone who likes a one-hitter would love the X5. On top of that, it will likely convert some non-believers like it did me.

Not everyone chooses a one-hitter for the sesh, but the Weedgets X5 may change that one toke at a time.
