New piece modernizes a classic weed pipe

Vessel Element review

Innovation is one of the positive cornerstones of cannabis legalization, and Vessel Brand is always striving for it. Classic bongs join others like vape pens, dab rigs, and bubblers. That last one is the latest to get a makeover. Vessel recently launched the Element Bubbler, a new take on an old classic.

The Element is modular and gave me a righteous vibe during every hit. This piece brings Sherlock energy in an all-new shape. I tried this recently released bubbler out, and it’s worth a pull.

All about the Element by Vessel

The Vessel Element is made of six pieces. They conjoin for a good smoke and twist apart for an easy clean. There is a heat-resistant borosilicate glass bulb and a non-toxic brass bowl piece, for starters. These pieces are joined by an anodized aluminum mouthpiece, bowl housing case, and two-part downstem.

I was a bit nervous smoking out of a metal bowl because I’m used to glass and ceramic. I rarely see metal these days, but the material has its benefits. Metal tends to last longer than ceramic, which can stain and burn, or glass, which is more easily breakable. Metal pieces have also shown to be more durable over time, pieces that screw together function well over longer periods of use. This could be another way Vessel alters the landscape, making classic stoners rethink previous misconceptions.

Hitting the Element bubbler

Smoking out of the Vessel is like a meeting of the minds. The sleek, easy-to-hold shape made me feel classy, but the superior consumption method made me feel like I was kicking it old school. I hit a fresh batch of Master Hash Plant in the Element twice, once with a lighter and the other with a hemp wick. One was significantly better.

Putting a lighter straight to the brass bowl piece didn’t lend me a perfect hit. I tasted a little bit of metal. However, this was fixed immediately by hitting the bubbler with a hemp wick rather than a lighter. At $149, I’d say that this is meant for people who love a bubbler, or those who are enthralled with owning the latest luxury cannabis pieces.

I can imagine pulling out my Element when I have a visitor who enjoys an elevated interior, or for buddies who I used to pass bubblers with in college. It may not be an every-hit smoke for this medical patient, but it will stay on the shelf for special occasions.

The latest invention from Vessel doesn’t reinvent the wheel. However, it does bring a new flavor to an old classic. Compact, water-filtered, and easy to clean– this one is a win.
