Weed festival offers free Jamaican honeymoon, with one catch

stargazer cannabis festival wedding: couple smokes joint while watching main stage

Anyone who has planned a wedding knows that there is one major thing involved: stress. Few make it down the aisle without at least one panicked nightmare. With all that looming, some couples may prefer to let someone else take care of everything with plug-and-play nuptials. The Stargazer Cannabis Festival, happening July 25-27, offers that plus one with the potential for a free Jamaican honeymoon for two lucky loversprovided Afroman marries them on the main stage.

The second annual Stargazer Festival is set to kick off at Adventures on the River in Pike County, Ohio. Before the big event, the fest wants to find the perfect pair to win Afroman’s Dream Cannabis Wedding, complete with an island vacation.

Chad Thompson, Stargazer organizer, shared more about the wedding and event with GreenState.

“While some elements will be curated for a seamless experience, we want to ensure it reflects their style,” Thompson said. “Our goal is to provide a stress-free experience where the couple can simply enjoy their special day without worrying about logistics.”

Second annual Stargazer Cannabis Festival bigger than ever

Stargazer Cannabis Festival is a three-day scenic wonderland with a fair amount of weed, music, and fun. Tickets sold out for the inaugural event, so the party moved to Adventures on the River this year to accommodate a larger crowd. This outdoor venue features riverfront access and 70 acres (last year was on 25 acres) featuring interactive activities and workshops.

Snoop Dogg’s personal blunt roller is set to teach a Blunt Rolling Workshop, and the DIY crowd will appreciate the interactive hempcrete and RSO tutorials. The cannabis wedding is one of the ten immersive experiences offered at the weekend extravaganza, and it’s complete with an Afroman concert and weed union.

The festival will handle every aspect of the big day, from the venue to decor. Afroman will officiate on the main stage, which is set to be decorated with lush, green foliage. Stargazer will curate certain elements, but some aspects will cater to the special couple. The pair getting hitched can choose the cake flavor and their outfits, but the venue and entertainment are locked in.

The ceremony will call on traditions like joint candle lighting or pouring sand together for the wedding act. The couple will toke from a thematically-decorated bong to solidify their union. Those who roll up for the fun will be treated to a dab and flower bar before the reception a.k.a. Afroman concert.

Jet off to Jamaica after getting married on the main stage

Fiancés with a dream wedding plan may not be into this concept. However, those who want to have fun, memorable nuptials with minimal effort will be all-in on this giveaway. They will also get two free VIP entry passes to Stargazer, not to mention a free Jamaican honeymoon.

“The Honeymoon package includes lodging at a beautiful resort in Jamaica. Other details, such as airfare, food, and additional perks, are still being finalized,” explained Thompson. “The couple will stay at a top-rated resort in Jamaica. We’ll share specifics once everything is confirmed, but they can expect a relaxing, fun stay.”

Anyone who likes the sound of a public weed wedding and covered honeymoon getaway can sign up for their chance to win. Entry requires a one-minute video explaining why they are a good fit for the prize. If the right couple fits, Stargazer won’t rule out vow renewals. Those interested have until April 20th to apply.

Stoners all over the country dream of how they might pull off a weed wedding of their own. For one lucky couple, the dreams are coming true in July at Stargazer.
