Brand new cannabis product comes with valid warning

Most chocolates and gummy candies come with five milligrams (mg) of THC, a byproduct of regulating edibles. Over the years, brands have put out mints and other ingestible products with lower contents for a micro-dose. Lost Farm by Kiva has taken it in another direction, introducing the 100 line this month in California. Each 100 gummy contains 100 mg of THC for an expert-only macrodose.

“In its mission to ‘never stop searching’ and continue making great products that honor the plant and excite the canna-sseur and high potency consumers, Lost Farm just debuted the new Lost Farm 100, also dubbed ‘One and Done,’ in California earlier this month,” director of brand Lauren McNaughton said to GreenState.

The Lost Farm 100 gummy line is more than just a mega-dose—each is also made with a single-strain and specialty extract. The brand is a standard setter in strain-specific edibles, using live resin and solventless live rosin to create a full-spectrum experience.

Lost 100 gummies are available in two strains at the moment. Blue Dream, a persisting American favorite, is complemented by a tropical punch flavoring. Fatso is the other, a strain created by Cannarado from GMO Cookies and Legend OG. This variety is joined in gummy form by a triple berry flavor.

The gummies are delicious, but not meant for a first-timer, beginner, or any self-proclaimed lightweight. Each is scored into ten pieces that look roughly the size of a two-dimensional clementine wedge. Still, McNaughton does not recommend them for anyone who regularly eats less than 30 mg of THC at a time.

“Though it is scored and can be consumed in 10 mg increments, this product is NOT for the canna-curious,” said McNaughton. “It’s for high tolerance consumers who value a single strain edible experience, high potency consumers looking for a higher dose with less edible intake and less sugar, and value shoppers looking for a more premium product that packs a punch.”

Eating 100 mg is not for everyone

Kiva is not the first brand catering to the macro-dosing cannabis consumers. The Black Bar from Korova is advertised as a 20-dose brownie with 1000 mg of THC and has long been a staple for many California consumers. Crescent Canna also has a MAX THC 100 mg gummy available in the hemp-THC market.

These products are not meant for everyone, but they serve those who require higher THC content and may not necessarily want to eat ten sugary candies to get there. As industries age, the product offerings widen, and this one is for experts only.
