Cannabis farmers all over North America are bringing in a record bumper crop of super-fine flowers this month. On the photo sharing site Instagram, the phenomenon goes by the name #croptober, and it celebrates the annual harvest of full-sun outdoor marijuana in the world.
One in five Americans now lives in a legalization state, and 29 states plus Washington D.C. have medical marijuana laws. Those reforms have led to a resurgence of cannabis production never before seen in modern history.
As I detail in the introduction to my new book “Marijuana Harvest” by Ed Rosenthal and David Downs — cannabis is asserting or reasserting itself like never before. California alone is estimated to produce 13 million pounds of cannabis per year, and it is America’s number one domestic producer.
Take a look at the scale of production and the joy that comes with a successful harvest. And let us know how your garden grew on our Facebook page or on our Instagram.
