After decades of debilitating periods, this helped

Eaton botanicals review

Researchers were not required to include women in studies until 1993, which is unfortunate for anyone dealing with premenstrual symptoms (PMS). Thankfully, by 2024, some peer-reviewed research on period pain exists, but there is still a long way to go.

Wellness-focused cannabis brand Eaton Botanicals noticed the lack of products made for women and sought to solve that problem.

“We knew that the all-women team of integrative medicine practitioners, Indigo Wellness Group, who developed our formulations, could identify the perfect blend of adaptogens, supplements, and herbs to pair with our cannabis for real plant-based relief women have needed for far too long,” Eaton Botanicals CEO and co-founder Dan Dolgin said to GreenState.

The company sent me some products to try during my period, and I was impressed. I track my cycle monthly, scheduling my high-intensity days for when I’m follicular and keeping it lowkey while I’m luteal. As I’ve noted my moods, certain cannabis products have been instrumental in easing my intense luteal and menstrual phases. This is one to two weeks every month and can often be accompanied by painful cramps, headaches, fatigue, irritability, and more.

Balms and salves are a godsend for the cramps and sore muscles, I also use them directly on my scalp for hard-to-shake headaches. As for my mood, a combination of inhalables and edibles does the trick.

Eaton Botanicals sent over Gal Pal and Fixer Upper, two vegan gummies that worked together to carry me from luteal to follicular with as little pain as possible.

Eaton Botanicals period pain product combo

Gal Pal and Fixer Upper are a pair to be reckoned with. Gal Pal is perfectly flavored with watermelon alongside 5 mg CBD, 5 mg THC, chasteberry, magnolia bark, vitamin b6, and lion’s mane mushroom. All-natural ingredients make these some of the most delicious weed gummies I have eaten. They are made with organic cane sugar and watermelon puree rather than corn syrup and artificial flavoring.

The other ingredients are just as meaningful. Chasteberry, magnolia bark, and vitamin b6 are known to balance female hormones. Lion’s mane is regarded as being helpful with anxiety and depression, which can often impact women with hormone imbalances. I cannot stress enough that they also are expertly flavored. The melon flavor is perfectly balanced without being overpowering.

While the watermelon Gal Pal made me want to house the whole tin, looking at the opaque orange Fixer Upper gummies gave me room for pause. The pause was unwarranted, though. They are just as delicious as their fruity counterparts.

Fixer Upper is made with the same cannabinoid ratio along with turmeric, ginger root, and chaga mushroom. The tingling ginger and earthy turmeric flavoring is joined by juicy mango and pineapple puree. Using fruit purees over artificial flavoring sets this brand apart from its competition. They are simply delicious. Thankfully, the effects were as pleasant as the flavor.

Treating my PMS with weed gummies

Eaton Botanicals Gal Pal and Fixer Upper make for the perfect combination of products for those luteal, menstruating, or experiencing perimenopause. To test them in my system, I took one Gal Pal nightly in the four days leading up to my period. These are generally nights that I am restless and uncomfortable, getting crappy sleep and waking up a little cranky.

Instead, I was well rested, which set me up better than usual to manage wonky hormones.

My period felt intense this month. I was overly tired, which shortened my mental leash. As for my body, I felt feverish, and my back hurt. When the actual period hit, cramps circled from my lower back to my abdomen. This is when I popped the Fixer Upper gummies.

I could not eat either gummy while working, parenting, or needing to drive. It made me feel a bit too incapacitated. You can eat half or a quarter of one, but I wanted to experience the formulation at its intended dose. So, I ate one gummy daily after putting my toddler to sleep.

Both are fast-acting, and within minutes, my mental load felt lighter, and stress floated from my mind into the ether. With that came a slight haziness and lethargy, which may have been from the gummies or my period. An hour after eating the cubes, my painful cramps were gone.

These are now a staple in my period regimen, provided I drink enough water. Periods and edibles both deplete the body of water, so drink up. Hydrated and high, Eaton Botanicals had me living my best period.

Eaton Botanicals review: so much more than a gummy

As someone who has tried many infused gummies and candies, I was immediately enamored with Eaton Botanicals Gal Pal and Fixer Upper. Both tasted like a dream with no strange aftertaste. They kicked in fast and did a great job meeting my needs, which were balancing hormones, relieving pain, and facilitating deep sleep. I was so impressed that I had to ask what they may be working on next.

Dolgin told me a few products are about three to six months from dropping.

“First up is our Lemon Lavender flavored Serenity Now gummy that has a host of ingredients proven to help relieve anxiety,” Dolgin said. “And then in the new year, we will release our new Apple-A-Day gummy designed to help boost your immune system, especially during cold and flu season.”

The brand currently also carries a few other formulations. Nightly Nightcap is made with THC, CBN, cherries, reishi, and l-theanine to inspire deeper sleep. Daily Elevation takes advantage of the power of CBG alongside THC, cordyceps, B12, and B6 with a peachy flavor.

Each Eaton product is intentional. They are formulated with cannabinoids, plants, and mushrooms that work together toward one common goal. In my case, not be a goblin while experiencing less pain during one of my more trying times of the month. And I am happy to report that it was a great success.
