Weird cannabis strain delivers exceptional high
At this point in the cannabis world, there are strains named after everything. There are phenotypes named after fruits, desserts, flowers, celebrities, and sometimes a combination of both–like the Cherry Burger strain. Plants like this one are often the product of hybridization. It goes like this: a meat strain and a fruit strain fall in love… just kidding, kind of.
A few Cherry Burger strains with different parent plants exist in the weed genetics library. There is a version grown in Washington state by Bacon’s Buds, a cross of Cherry Cookies and Double Burger. Another Cherry Burger variety combines Han Solo Burger and Cherry Burst. Today, I reviewed the Bacon’s Buds version of this fruit-filled, slightly meaty flower.

Cherry Burger strain: appearance, smell, and taste
Cherry Burger combines two intriguing strain flavors, fruit and meat–and both translate into the flavor. This variety grows a gorgeous combination of light green and violet with dark orange-brown pistils. I had to pause when I opened the jar and took a whiff because my nose was still adjusting to meat terpenes.
The first scent that came through was familiar, cherries with a hint of lime. After sorting that out, though, there is a smell that I can only describe as “meaty.” This is likely due to the Double Burger parentage which combines GMO (Garlic, Mushroom, Onions) and Donny Burger.
I know that may not sound attractive, but much like the classic cannabis variety Cat Piss, somehow it works. The flavor that came through when I vaped Cherry Burger flower. It was true to my aromatic assessment, but I caught the meat first, followed by only a hint of cherries.
This is a positively interesting cannabis strain to experience, from the scent to the taste–as for the effects, this one might not be for everyone.
Effects of the Cherry Burger strain
The sativa-loving crowd might not be fans of Cherry Burger, a mind-melting strain that kicks up a bit of a frenzy. I find hitting a bong gives me the most accurate experience of a variety. This time I used my Weeday modular setup.
Awareness moved to my brain immediately after inhaling a rip. This spread throughout my brain and down into my chest and shoulders. The warm, pulsing sensation turned to a relaxation that my body that relentlessly kept the score very much enjoyed.
Like some flower, Cherry Burger did make some of my anxious thoughts stick in the first 30 minutes of the experience. However, this was dependent on my mood and the day. I’d say I felt worried about 30 percent of the time that I toked on Cherry Burger, but the feeling dissipated quick enough. These vibes aren’t enough to deter me from buying this flavor, but others with more severe anxiety may want to take note.
All in all, Cherry Burger is a win for me. It may not be appropriate to medicate during the day, as it can jumble my mind a bit. However, the relaxation is on par with what I look for in other moments. Those who may want to steer clear or try with caution include people who are trying to keep a clear head and those people who struggle with anxiety.

Bringing together weird terps in a wonderful way
Cannabis connoisseurs will love Cherry Burger for its interesting terpene profile and knockout effects. Newcomers will appreciate the body relaxation but should proceed with caution due to potential anxiety and impaired judgment. All in all, this is an indica that I will continue adding to cart.
