Meet The Chalice, the latest luxury cup vaporizer

Chalice vaporizer review

A new category of cannabis devices is rising to prominence: the vapor cup. These vaporizers are eye-catching and I find them fun to use. Sipping weed vapor from a cup is quite novel, after all. The Chalice is a newer addition to the vapor cup category from the device and accessories brand Made in Xiaolin.

“At Made In Xiaolin, we focus on luxury to craft exceptional cannabis journeys,” founder Chris Louie shared with Warren Bobrow for Skunk Magazine. “We believe luxury means uncompromised excellence, elegance in presentation, and a superior sensory experience. We’re developing products that appeal to those who seek the finest in cannabis—not just for its effects—but for the complete experience it offers.”

My Chalice gives luxury, with a shining golden base and gold-rimmed glass. The vapor cup also comes in black, white, and red colorways. This device can work with extracts, vape pens, or flower, but functions best with the first two. It heats the product with coil-wrapped quartz which generally can not heat the flower well. As far as extracts and vape pens go, it rips with the best.

The first glance of the Chalice is purely positive. The gem-shaped glass stands apart from similar devices, and the logo adorning the front is arresting in a good way.

How to use The Chalice by Made in Xiaolin

The start button is touch-activated rather than pushable. I prefer the latter, but that’s a personal preference. There is nothing wrong with the activation point, it works. I love to know I’ve activated something with a physical push.

Turn the piece on with five touches and the gem chalice will illuminate green from below to indicate it is all set. Pull off the glass, gently twist out the silicone cover, and find the chamber space. To get started, screw in a 510-threaded vape pen or a provided quartz-fueled chamber packed with delicious products. Rebuild the machine, secure the silicone cover and glass onto the motor, and prepare to vape.

The Chalice can be activated in two ways. A more customized option is to press one time and hold the button down until the desired amount of vapor fills the cup. Those who want to maximize may prefer to hit the button twice, let it fill for thirty minutes, and sip. Do not push products too far in these devices, stop vaping cartridges with vapor cups once the oil gets low.

This vapor cup is easy to use and one-size-fits-all. It looks elite, too, which could be a plus for some.

The Chalice review

After sourcing every vapor cup possible and trying them all, I was excited to try a new addition to the family. Taking The Chalice out of the box felt luxurious, and opening something shining gold inside will always make me feel like Charlie outside of the candy shop before he visits the chocolate factory.

I already made my feelings about button push extensions known, but aside from that I enjoyed using the Chalice. Looking at it, I thought it would be heavy, but it is quite light. I wanted some girth on it as a golden piece, but not everyone does.

People with lower hand strength may appreciate how light this is. One reason I like cup vaporizers is that they are a bit more accessible than small vape pens and doo-dads that require using small pieces and lids. Once the vape pen or concentrate is loaded in the cups, someone with low hand mobility can quite easily get a big hit to meet their needs. The Chalice fits into that world, and looks sharp, too.

The product could be better in two ways, one would be temperature control. Concentrates work best at variable levels, and a few comparable products offer four heat settings. This would be a welcome addition since The Chalice is a touch more expensive than competitors. Which leads me to the second improvement, the price hits at a whopping $220. Not as high as Puffco Peak Pro, but still a big chunk of change.

All in all, The Chalice is a welcome addition to the product category serving weed vapor up in cups.

Vapor Cups, meet The Chalice

The Chalice is a gorgeous vape that offers a welcome functionality to the space alongside other cup vaporizers. It offers some flashy aesthetics, which may be why it is a little pricier. I liked using this product, but only the luxurious look sets it apart from its competitors. Even so, sipping from The Chalice is a privilege I wish everyone had.
