This weed strain brings a rollercoaster

Black Ice strain

Black Domina and White Widow combine to make the indica hybrid Black Ice strain. This expansion earns its place in a growing crowd of cannabis varieties. The story goes that Moon Seeds created the flower, a company responsible for other strains like Critical Magic and Big Jack. There is little available about this breeder, but the legacy they have left behind includes this lesser-known weed.

Black Ice strain

The Black Ice strain reviewed here is by Moon Seeds, but another variety introduced by Glacier Cannabis in Michigan uses the name. This Black Ice is a cross of MAC #1 and OOOZE that the brand describes as “frosty wonderment.” While that sounds worth exploring, let’s dive back into this Black Ice.

Light and airy effects are joined by an interesting flavor in this classic flower that is rarely seen at the dispensary in most states. Black Ice does not knock people out or inspire them to clean the kitchen like Durban Poison does, but it has that even-keel hybrid quality many love.

Black Ice strain smells, looks, and taste

The look, smell, and taste of Black Ice is unique, leaving a coolness behind after blowing out the smoke. Black Ice grows large, less dense flower. They develop mint green with bright orange hairs and semi-prominent trichomes. These buds are not drenched in trichome sparkles, but they are there.

Black Ice smells like black pepper and musk. These are part of the flavor profile as well. Taste berries and sharp earth on the inhale and peppery spice on the exhale. This flavor profile brings notes of White Widow, which presents a spiced musk, and the earthy berry notes of Black Domina.

Its genetics shine through in scent, flavor, and even how the flowers grow–and the effects line up, too.
