Big Freedia launches cannabis product in unexpected market

Celebrities continue collaborating in the weed space, whether it is through endorsed products or marketing push collaborations. Zoe Kravitz shared a pre-roll + lighter collaboration with Pure Beauty for her directorial debut film Blink Twice last week, but that is not all. Big Freedia and Crescent Canna are taking a more energized approach with the new Wobble sparkling THC energy drink.

“Wobble is the perfect drink for turning up on the dance floor,” says Big Freedia, “It’ll make you feel good and keep the party going,” Big Freedia said in a press release.

Wobble features strawberry and pineapple flavors along with 10 milligrams (mg) of THC and 100 mg of caffeine–though the nutrition label marks the can as two servings. The beverage is vegan, low-calorie, alcohol-free, and contains U.S.-grown hemp flower. Crescent Canna makes the testing certificate of analysis readily available online, and products are registered with the Louisiana Department of Health.

Big Freedia is an American rapper known for helping popularize New Orleans bounce and is often called the Queen of Bounce. This is not her first foray into weed. Freedia launched the curated cannabis collection ROYALBUD in 2022. The ROYALBUD line is available in select California stores, but Wobble can be purchased online and shipped nationwide.

“Working with Big Freedia has been a dream come true,” said Crescent Canna CEO Joe Gerrity, “There are a lot of energy drinks out there. But only one has Big Diva Energy.”

Crescent Canna is a hemp-derived cannabis brand with a focus on affordability and transparency. The brand has worked with musical artists before Wobble. Crescent released Jet Life THC gummies and soda with Curren$y in April.

Wobble is available nationwide, and Big Freedia is streaming everywhere people get music. Might as well try them out together as the Queen intended.

“Get ready to wobble, baby,” Big Freedia concluded.
