Whether they are hoping to cut back on alcohol or simply get lifted in a new way, cannabis cocktail recipes are on the rise. This holiday season, adults-only party planners might consider stocking the fridge or cooler with weed seltzers. Those who have the time could take things one step further and craft cannabis cocktails out of these pre-made drinks.
Canned cannabis drinks are readily available at liquor stores these days, even in places like Texas, where legal weed feels far off. Now, it feels like specialty cannabinoid drinks are more available than ever, so I set out to turn them into elevated garden cocktails.
I invited a few friends over with culinary and bartending skills for a night that I called a “cannabis cocktail think tank.”

We cooked up some weed drink recipes highlighting winter flavors that are sweet, effervescent, and sometimes a little biting. Each has its own combination of cannabinoids, sometimes with functional mushrooms added in. Read the recipes carefully for the THC and other compounds to avoid a holiday riddled with overconsumption.

People are abstaining from alcohol more every day. Meanwhile, cannabis is gaining steam. Wow party guests this holiday by serving mindfully dosed weed cocktails. These recipes use pre-made cannabis products, select non-alcoholic spirits, and some euphoric herbs for a fabulous time that stays zero-proof. Here’s a guide on how to find them.

Holly Berry
- 8 ounces of BREZ Flow
- Bar spoonful of elderberry juice
- 2 ounces tart cherry juice
- Splash of grenadine
- 5 mg float of Squier’s Elixirs Blackberry Lavender Syrup
Directions: Fill a mason jar with ice. Pour elderberry and cherry juice into a glass, then fill with BREZ Flow, and stir. Pour grenadine and syrup on top of the mixed drink, and stir. Serve with a straw.
Note: This will be a large beverage. Split the recipe between two or in half for a lower dose or less liquid.
Sugar n Spice
- 7.5 ounces Wana Strawberry lemonade (5 mg CBD, 5 mg THC, 5 mg CBG)
- ¼ tsp Angostura
- ½ tsp of quince jelly
- 1 shot Three Spirit Livener XS
Directions: Pour the Three Spirit shot and quince jelly into a shaker and shake until the jelly is dissolved. Meanwhile, pour Wana Strawberry Lemonade over ice in a highball glass. Add the shaken shot and stir. Add angostura to taste, and stir.
Squirly Shirley
- 1 oz Three Spirit Social
- 3 oz Wynk Cran-blood
- Bar spoonful of grenadine
- Pomegranate seeds
Directions: Stir ingredients together. Serve in a highball glass with ice.
Garden 75
- 3 ounces Fable Best Zest (about 1 mg THC, under 3 mg CBD)
- Splash of Three Spirit Sharp White Wine alternative
- Aperitif
- Orange peel
- Ice
Directions: Stir Best Zest and aperitif with a splash of Sharp in ice. Rub the orange peel against the lip of a coupe or champagne flute and pour the cocktail in.
Wintered Juicy Fruit

- 7.5 ounces Wynk Mango (2.5 mg THC, 5 mg CBD)
- 3-4 ounces pear syrup
- Dash orange blossom to taste
- Two thin lemon slices
Directions: Pour ingredients into a tumbler over ice and stir. Garnish with one to two lemon slices.
Note: This will be a large beverage. Split the recipe between two or in half for a lower dose or less liquid.
THC Toddy
- 2 ounces Three Spirit Nightcap
- Juice of half a lemon
- 5 mg THC Ripple packet
- Hot water
- Clove
- Star anise
- Cinnamon stick
Directions: Stir Nightcap, lemon juice, Ripple powder, spices, and hot water in a teacup until the powder is dissolved. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Orange Dreams
- Mitra9 Orange Dreamsicle Kava RelaxPak
- 2 ounces Three Spirit Social
- 4 ounces Wynk Lime Twist seltzer (2.5 mg THC, 2.5 mg CBD)
- ⅛ tsp Angostura
- Mint sprig
- Orange wedge
Directions: Stir RelaxPak into Wynk and Social until the powder dissolves. Mix in angostura and pour over ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and orange wedge.
