Fashion brands have collaborated in weed for years, most recently with Fred Segal getting in on the action. Some brands like Sundae School and Mesobis marry the two, creating cannabis edibles and fashions. The latest collaboration dropped today from vegetable streetwear designer Anwar Carrots and vape brand PlugPlay.

The Los Angeles streetwear brand is known for its tuber-centric fashions like the Rabbits by Carrots line and other crop-oriented prints. Carrot-themed shirts, hoodies, hand-poured candles, signature batteries, and a special-edition Carrot Cake plug vape pod are included in the drop. All in line with the usual theme.

“This collaboration between Plugplay and Carrots by Anwar Carrots symbolizes the merge of L.A. art and fashion with L.A. cannabis culture. We’ve been very big fans of Carrots and what Anwar has done through the years, and we’re incredibly excited to bring together two iconic brands within their industries, both deeply rooted in the vibrant and dynamic landscape of Los Angeles,” said Peter Tang of PlugPlay, adding “this partnership not only enhances the cannabis experience but also reflects the rich cultural diversity and creative spirit that define our city.”

Carrot Cake vapes are said to feel like a happy, uplifting hybrid. The genetics aren’t revealed, but the lineage originates with PlugPlay’s Exotics line. Those in California can pick up a Carrot Cake plug today. The rest of the merch and gear are available nationwide.

Those who received vendor samples before the launch shared the sleek carrot-themed battery on Reddit to much excitement.

Anwar Carrots is no stranger to cannabis collaborations. The designer previously launched a grinder with Sackville, products with Viola Brands, and a Dr. Dabber device. This is Carrots’ first time releasing products with PlugPlay, a vape brand founded in 2006.

PlugPlay sells various vape batteries for its plug pods. It also carries branded streetwear and, in California, cannabis vapes. Both brands leaned into their specialties with this collaboration that holistically combines the two specialties: streetwear and weed.

When fashion brands and mainstream musicians collaborate with cannabis companies, whether on a THC product or gear, it lays one more brick on the road to normalization. As these worlds merge, people who like to toke a vape may feel less stigmatized, creating a comfier world for everyone. And honestly, it’s sick to have specialty items, specifically when crafted by a beloved designer.
