Gorgeous gowns, iconic speeches, and six-figure gift bags–the Oscars are filled with glitz and glamour. That last one is not officially affiliated with the Academy but has become an expected part of the affair. These bags contain vacations, trinkets, skincare, and this year, weed.

The “Everyone Wins” gift bags are curated by Distinctive Assets, a Los Angeles-based marketing firm. They send a goody bag to each of the top acting and directing nominees. The packages are brought to their homes rather than being delivered on-site at the event. Each offering is designed to pamper the recipients after what has surely been a long awards season. All the more reason to include weed, Distinctive Assets founder Lash Fairy posed.

“This is California and this is a stressful week for a lot of these folks. So we’ve got four different cannabis options for them,” Fary said to Reuters.

Adrien Brody, Cynthia Erivo, Demi Moore, Kieran Culkin, Monica Barbaro, Zoe Saldaña, and Coralie Fargeat are among the lucky nominees on the list to receive a bounty of goods and services totaling around $200,000 in value.

Luxe gift bags are the usual, but this year’s treasure contains intoxicating cannabis. The 2018 bag contained Flow Kana products, and in 2023 the swag included a CBD lotion designed for bug bites. This is the most comprehensive pot inclusion yet.

In case the included five-day villa resort stay at luxury wellness retreat JOALI Maldives is not relaxing enough, the bag contains Beboe luxury rose gold vapes, Dogwalkers mini-joints, Señorita THC margarita, and RYTHM musically driven flower. The bag does not only have cannabis; it includes a full suite of offerings.

These weed products are accompanied by too many other presents to list. Highlights of other fights include Helight NASA sleep therapy products, PETA’s custom “Let Monkeys Swing Free!” portable hammock, and A Journey of Iceland ̶ From Darkness to Light immersive coffee table book.

Various “LA Strong” shirts and bracelets are also included, a reminder that the region recently endured the shared trauma of the recent wildfires. Fary hopes these gifts can serve as a source of comfort amid all the struggles recipients may face.

“Whether they pamper themselves or share these bountiful gifts as a care package for a friend who may have recently lost their home, we give these gifts not based on the recipients’ need but out of a desire to brighten someone’s day and to acknowledge a job well done,” Fary concluded in a press release.
